Family Trip in the Oshan X7 โ€“ From Wah Cantt to Bhurban & Nathiagali

๐Ÿก The Plan

We had family guests visiting from Dubai. The weather in Wah Cantt was heating up, and they were eager to explore somewhere cooler โ€” ideally close enough for a day trip, but different enough to feel like a getaway.

So, we plotted a route:
Multi Orchards โ†’ Islamabad โ†’ Murree Expressway โ†’ PC Bhurban โ†’ Nathiagali โ†’ back via Abbottabad.

What made it special? The Changan Oshan X7.

Our guests brought the car โ€” and letโ€™s just say, it stole the show.

๐Ÿš˜ Enter: Oshan X7

It was our first time riding this SUV for a long trip. With 4 adults and 2 kids, we werenโ€™t expecting miracles โ€” but what followed was surprisingly smooth, even on the steep hills and curvy roads of Murree and Nathiagali.

โ€œA powerful SUV isnโ€™t just about horsepower. Itโ€™s about how it behaves when kids are fighting in the backseat, someoneโ€™s opening chips too loudly, and youโ€™re navigating hairpin turns.โ€

Hereโ€™s how the Oshan X7 handled it all:

๐Ÿ” Real-World Review of the Oshan X7

1. ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Comfort & Space

The cabin felt spacious and premium.
โœ… Rear seats were roomy.
โœ… Panoramic sunroof gave the kids something to stare at besides each other.
โœ… Rear AC vents kept everyone cool, even as the car climbed in altitude.

2. ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Drive & Performance

From city to highway to steep mountain climbs, the Oshan X7 handled it all.

  • Turbocharged engine had good acceleration, though slightly laggy in low gears.
  • Gear shifting was smooth with the 7-speed DCT.
  • Hill performance was excellent โ€” no rollbacks, no drama.

โ€œIt didnโ€™t just get us there. It made the journey feel like part of the destination.โ€

3. ๐Ÿ“ฑ Tech & Infotainment

โœ… 360-degree camera was a lifesaver while parking at The Grey Cafรฉ in Nathiagali.
โœ… Voice control worked fine for changing songs and adjusting climate.
โœ… The kids enjoyed the big digital cluster and touchscreen.

4. ๐Ÿ’ง Fuel & Efficiency

  • Expressway: ~11โ€“12 km/l
  • Hilly roads: ~9 km/l
Not bad for a loaded SUV navigating curvy routes.

๐Ÿž๏ธ Travel Stops and Highlights

๐Ÿ“ Stop 1: PC Bhurban

We paid Rs. 2000 per person (adjustable in food/activities) and trekked through the jungle trail. The weather was pleasant, and the views were serene.

๐Ÿงƒ Terrace Cafรฉ lunch included:

  • Beef burgers
  • Chicken zinger
  • Pizza
  • Fries
  • Mint margaritas

โ€œGood food. Great view. And the Oshan X7 still looked cleaner than us.โ€

๐Ÿ“ Stop 2: Nathiagali

Cooler by 5โ€“6 degrees, with temperatures around 16โ€“20ยฐC.
The roads were narrow and tricky, but again, the SUV didnโ€™t flinch.

We headed to The Grey Cafรฉ by Soy, known for its surprisingly excellent continental menu.
โ˜• Coffee
๐Ÿซ Brownies
๐Ÿ“ธ Aesthetic interior perfect for pictures

๐ŸŽฏ Final Thoughts: Travel + Review

The Oshan X7 didnโ€™t just get us through the day โ€” it elevated the entire experience.

Whether navigating Islamabad traffic, overtaking slow-moving vans on Murree Expressway, or crawling up mountain bends, the car remained comfortable, confident, and composed.

โœ… Summary โ€” Is the Oshan X7 Worth It?
